Self Heal News

By Frances Allden

My friend Kay in Kitsap County, Wa., has a clear understanding of her mission in life. It is to

turn the hearts of  the children to their parents,
turn the hearts of  the parents  to their young,
turn the hearts of the people to each other,
turn the hearts of the people to their spiritual understanding.

It seems a gigantic undertaking, yet perhaps the most crucial of tasks facing humanity. For it is primarily within the family we learn unconditional love. person can make to live a full and healthy, purposeful life or to go the other direction, a life of self-centeredness creating unnecessary hardship, NOT-LOVE, for ourselves and others.

It is through family actions and interactions we best learn about ourselves...why we are the way we are, how to move forward to find in-depth peace, love and joy and so, ultimately, freedom. Often the family is unable to fulfill the latter function and members must then find the strength to move on, outside of family contact. When this sad state of affairs occurs there is not only personal  loss, it is a statement of conceived hopelessness for planetary peace. If we cannot resolve our own internal struggles and family difficulties, how can we expect international, even intertribal, conflicts to heal?

If you are not interested in  healing family rifts, please stop reading here. It may indeed seem impossible. But
